Speaker Short Bio: Dr. Satya did his doctoral thesis at CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB, New Delhi in the field of RNA biology in 2016. Following it, he moved to Germany and subsequently to Groningen, Netherlands for his postdoctoral work in telomere biology from 2016-2018.

Satya moved back to India and joined Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay) for his second postdoc in late 2018 to work in the field of cancer, neurodegeneration and phase separation. After this, he moved to industry and joined Tata Medical and Diagnostics Limited and worked extensively on developing diagnostic assays for Covid, Respiratory viruses, HPV, HBV, HCV, HIV and TB. 

Satya has multiple international peer-reviewed publications and patents to his credit.Satya leads Technology Implementation at the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS), where the focus is on translating advanced genetic and molecular technologies into practical, deployable solutions. His role bridges scientific research and real-world application — managing technology validation, optimization, and scale-up for public health and molecular diagnostics programs. 

He works closely with multidisciplinary teams, industry partners, and research collaborators to ensure smooth technology transfer, regulatory compliance, and impactful implementation aligned with TIGS’s mission to advance genetic science for societal benefit.
